Washington's Cruisers or Pine Tree Flag
The Pine Tree Flag, 1775.
The Pine Tree Flag of New England showed a green pine tree on a field of white with “An Appeal to Heaven” across the top. It was used by vessels under the command of George Washington as the commander of the Continental Army. The Pine Tree flag was also referred to as the flag of Washington's Cruisers.
